Avalon Hollywood is a historic nightclub and concert venue located in the heart of Hollywood, Los Angeles. The building itself was constructed in 1927 and was originally known as the Hollywood Playhouse, which hosted many popular radio shows of the time. In 1947, the venue was renamed the El Capitan Theatre and began hosting live performances and movies. It was eventually renamed Avalon Hollywood in 2002. The building is an art deco masterpiece, with a grand foyer and sweeping staircases leading up to the main ballroom. The ballroom itself boasts a large dance floor, multiple bars, and a state-of-the-art sound system, making it the perfect venue for concerts, DJ sets, and other music events. Avalon Hollywood is also located in a prime area for tourists. The venue is just a short walk away from other popular landmarks such as the Hollywood Walk of Fame, the TCL Chinese Theatre, and the Hollywood & Highland shopping center.
