Gare do Oriente
Gare do Oriente, also known as Lisbon Oriente Station, is a major transportation hub located in the Parque das Nações district of Lisbon, Portugal. Designed by Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava, the station was completed in 1998 for the Expo '98 World Fair. Its distinctive modernist design includes a glass and steel roof resembling the wings of a bird in flight. The station serves as a terminus for trains and buses, providing connections to other parts of Portugal and neighboring countries. In addition to its practical function, Gare do Oriente is a popular tourist attraction due to its striking architecture and location in the modern and vibrant Parque das Nações district.
